Bar Options

A bar will add a sophisticated and professional touch to your function.

You choose the drinks that you would like to be available, so you can specify the drinks that you and your guests enjoy. Our uniformed bar staff will help to ensure that your guests are delighted with the drinks available at your function.

We can provide wines from around the world, a full range of spirits, all the main brands of lagers, casks of real ales from around Britain, and genuine West Country ciders as well as bottled ales. We always use established branded spirits – no anonymous “bulk” varieties. We can also arrange cocktails.

Lobster Pot Bar Options

We will discuss with you, and advise on, a selection of wines that will meet the tastes of your guests. You do not have to choose from “standard packages” of drinks. The package is always custom tailored to suit your function, and your budget. There are several different ways to include a bar at your function.

Option 1 - Free Bar – pay per drink

You hire the bar (flat fee of £200), and as many bar staff as you wish.
All glasses are included.
The bar is stocked with drinks of your choice.
You pay for the drinks that your guests consume.

Option 2 - Free Bar – pay per head

You hire the bar (flat fee of £200), and as many bar staff as you wish.
All glasses are included.
The bar is stocked with drinks of your choice.
You pay for your guests on a “per head” basis. Prices start at £20 per head.

Option 3 - Cash Bar

You hire the bar (flat fee of £200), and as many bar staff as you wish.
All glasses are included.
The bar is stocked with drinks of your choice.
Your guests buy their own drinks at the bar.

Option 4 - Free Bar until a set time

You hire the bar (flat fee of £200), and as many bar staff as you wish.
All glasses are included.
The bar is stocked with drinks of your choice.
You pay for you guests’ drinks up until a specified time, or a specified point in the proceedings, eg the end of the speeches.
After that point, your guests buy their own drinks.

Option 5 - Cash Bar with money behind the bar

You hire the bar (flat fee of £200), and as many bar staff as you wish.
All glasses are included.
The bar is stocked with drinks of your choice.
You put an amount of money behind the bar. When this has been used up, the bar becomes a Cash Bar and your guests buy their own drinks.

Option 6 -Staff Only

You provide the alcohol.
You hire the glasses.
You hire the bar serving staff on an hourly basis.
Your guests are served by our staff.

Option 7 - Bar and Staff Only

You provide the alcohol.
You hire the bar (flat fee of £200).
You hire the glasses.
You hire the bar serving staff on an hourly basis.
Your guests are served by our staff.

Option 8 - Childrens Party Bar (Bar,Staff,Soft Drinks)

You hire the bar (flat fee of £200), and as many bar staff as you wish.
All glasses are included.
You choose in advance from a selection of non-alcoholic cocktails
The cost for the children’s drinks is on a simple “per head” basis.
The cocktail bar adds a bit of fun and sophistication to your children’s party.
Choice of non-alcoholic cocktails is unlimited.
Alcoholic drinks can be provided for adults only.

Note: the sale of Alcohol (and/or the provision of Music and Dancing) at a venue which does not have a Licence, is likely to require a temporary licence (called a “Temporary Event Notice”). We will deal with the “TEN” application on your behalf. We make NO CHARGE for this service (but there is a fee payable to the Local Licensing Authority – currently £21.00)
